POD growing at MJH!
We haven’t seen any UFO’s lately, but MJH Accountants do have a POD. Those of you who attended the Leyland Shout Group yesterday will know all about this MJH phenomenon. Our POD (Point of Difference) is that we believe in having contact with our clients throughout the year, we want to build up a relationship which isn’t limited to a bag of receipts at year-end! You could also describe the team as 5 peas in a POD, in that we are all growing together and are fresh, energetic and vibrant. We are always ready to ‘pop’ into action whenever required. Our POD is that we are Professional, Original, Dynamic and of course, always there! Make contact with us, help our POD to grow!
Blackpool Tower Ballroom here we come!
Don’t worry, you won’t be seeing us on Strictly Come Dancing – well not any time soon! We will be at the Tower Ballroom on 11th September awaiting the outcome of the BIBAs Professional Service Business of the Year Awards. The Judges’ visit went really well and we feel that we gave a very good account of ourselves. It was strictly ‘business as usual’ but that is what it’s all about – providing a snapshot of working practice. We always aim to keep our smart new office spick and span, but we made that extra special effort for our VIP’s – no stone was left unturned. We look forward to sharing hopefully even better news with you shortly after 11th September!
Sophie Paget named Pink Links Chorley Member of the Month!
All things ‘social media’ are admirably managed by our trainee accountant, Sophie Paget. Sophie also regularly represents the company at local networking events and joined Pink Link Ladies in January this year. Sophie thoroughly enjoys the monthly Wednesday meetings held at the Holiday Inn, Bamber Bridge. Over the past four weeks we have been delighted to offer work experience firstly to Abdul and then to Sammy. From their feedback both of these young men have enjoyed their time with us and learned a lot. Abdul has gone on to secure his first role within an accountancy practice and says, “I’d like to thank yourselves for giving me the opportunity to carry out a work placement with you from which I learnt a tremendous amount. I think we can class that as a MJH success story, feel free to give it a mention in your newsletter if you like.” It goes without saying that we wish Abdul every success. Similarly, Sammy has good things to say about his time with us, “I felt that the office had a sort of feeling that you belong there.” We wish Sammy every success in securing his first position. We are really looking forward to welcoming Ryan to our team for 3 weeks work experience commencing 13th July.
