Charity Suggestion
If you there’s a charity you believe is one that needs our support drop Cindy an email c.ralph@mjhaccountants.co.uk and let her know that with our help we could make a difference!
Email CindyWith so much bad news in the world today, from global disasters to national budget cuts, sometimes it’s good to be reminded that not everything out there is terrible. In fact there is a lot going on across the globe and country which is truly great – but receives little attention.
So here at MJH we join together every year with a local charity to see what we can do and to inspire you to “help make a difference”.
No matter what the weather we go all out from participating in bike rides to raffles and having a magical ball to boot. All the money raised throughout the year will go to the Charity that gets selected by the Staff at MJH.
Our chosen charity of 2023/24 is MND Preston – The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Our planned events are jumping out of plane at 15,000 ft and Jail or Bail will see members of our staff as jail birds facing fictitious trials chosen by you!
In 2019 we raised for the Foxton Centre £2,500.00. The Foxton Centre provides support, safety and resources for vulnerable adults and young people in Preston
In 2020 we wanted to go bigger so for the Space Centre we raised over £8,500.00. The centre has the largest multi-sensory environment in the United Kingdom for people with special needs. They wanted to provide a place where those with physical, learning or emotional difficulties may more easily acquire skills and enjoy experiences usually denied them.
In 2021 we went even bigger and raised a whopping £17,500.00 for The Friends of the Sir Tom Finney High School. Sir Tom Finney Community High School is a secondary school based in Preston that caters for educational needs, learning difficulties and disabilities.
In 2022 we raised £8,500.00 for St Catherines Hospice who provide care for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
